The Natural History Section of Jyväskylä University Museum houses over 170 000 invertebrate specimens, vast majority of them being insects. The scope of this collection is worldwide, most specimens are however collected in Finland and other parts of Northern Europe. All preserved specimes are pinned or card-mounted if not mentioned otherwise.
